write a policy report proposing an intervention in a conflict of your choice.
The policy document should consider the content and topics that we’ve covered across the module. Think about the following questions:
What is the main goal of the intervention?
Who is the policy document aimed at? Is it aimed at a particular country, a group of countries or an international organisation?
Is your proposed intervention based on any theories of conflict and peacebuilding?
How is your proposed intervention going to remedy some of the causes of the conflict?
What type of interventionary measures are you going to recommend (e.g. military intervention, preventative diplomacy, international sanctions, humanitarian aid)?
What types of interventionary measures do you want to avoid and why?
Does the intervention violate norms around sovereignty, and does this matter?
What conflict expertise are you relying upon? Whose knowledge of the conflict matters?
Does the intervention have any consequences for refugees?
