1. You must discuss at least two of the following items: a relevant aspect of the plot line; one character and its role in the film; Garrone’s cinematography and artistic choices (for example by analyzing one specific scene and how it promotes the storyline); or the impact of Camorra and its activity on Italian society.
2. You must include a bibliography with at least five sources. Two of these sources must be John Dickie’s Cosa Nostra: A History of the Sicilian Mafia and Dana Renga’s Mafia Movies: A Reader. The other three (or more, if you wish) may come from this course (such as the recommended articles and videos) or they can be found on JSTOR or google scholar.
