Marginalized people in the United States had to find and make their own opportunities. Groups such as Jewish and Black Americans in the nineteenth century were innovators and entrepreneurs in the developing Capitalist society in America. For marginalized people Capitalism was a way out of poverty and the means to equality but despite these possibilities, many people continued to face dsicrimination.
