Students are expected to create a case study in a form of an argumentative essay of the Swedish bank: NORDEA.
The essay should briefly describe the following topics:
• general characteristics of the bank
• characteristics of the business model and main business lines of the bank with special regard to the related risk.
• detailed risk profile analysis of the bank.
• the risk management practices in relation to the main risk categories.
Provide detailed calculation about the different financial ratios linked to measure risk.
• personal opinion and evaluation of the author about the risk profile, its changes and the risk .management practice of the bank, its appropriateness, shortcomings etc.
