Send in your topic early and I will let you know if said topic is still available. You can either chose a topic in which you have some interest or knowledge, or you might decide to choose a topic that you know nothing about in attempt to learn something entirely new!
The paper portion of the assignment is focused on the general topic, and your task is to explore that subject, detailing the following:
1. Describe the set of statistics you are analyzing.
2. What the information is used for, or why it is useful.
3. Indicate how the statistics have been developed, and who produces the data/analysis
4. Point out any interesting conclusions you have developed from the data or the analysis of the data
5. Critique the information, analysis data, and collection method(s)
