Provide a brief summary of the article and its main argument, if there is one. This should not be the bulk of the paper.
Reflect on your reaction to the article. For example, were you surprised, annoyed, frustrated, validated? For example, is the author’s position sensationalized, distorted, misinformed, naïve, racist, alarmist, elitist? Have they exaggerated or minimized the importance of the issue? I want you to reflect on how you responded to the information presented.
Discuss how the information in the article compares/contrasts with what you have learned about this topic in Introduction to Criminal Justice. Provide specific information from course materials to support your position. For example, you might include definitions of relevant key terms, concepts, theoretical frameworks, or statistics and research data. Include in your discussion how your views on this topic may have changed since you started the course.
