Writing: an essay of four to six or more pages. Write an essay making the argument, following Toulmin’s system, that there is an important problem to be solved. Besides that, you must find the place where the problem exists and learn about both the place and the problem.
Your job is to research a place – community, city, state/province, or country – other than RMU or the topic you researched for Essay #2. Then, learn about a problem this location is facing and try to persuade someone, like a mayor, president, or business owner, a non-profit’s CEO, or a ruling council, like a court, legislature, or stockholders, how you suggest they should fix it.
