The obvious field trip would be to attend a mosque. If there is one in your area, you can visit a halal store. You can visit a Muslim. will help you find Muslim centers. If you are Muslim, move out of your comfort zone in some way.
Please note, because of the current tensions in “the West” about Muslims, it can be hard to plan a visit to a mosque. It will take you time to arrange it. Often, they will only accommodate a non-Muslim on annual open house days. You will find it easier to make a field trip to a halal store if there is one in your area. Does your area have an interfaith committee? Contacting the Muslim representative on it is another idea.
Post a short report, which will be graded. How did you find and organize your field trip? What were your experiences? Write about two paragraphs. References are not necessary. This is an experiential exercise.
