Police suicides is not a topic often discussed by the media. Unfortunately, however, the issue has plagued police officers for years! Officers, in general, are reluctant to seek mental help. Many police departments try to sweep issues if this nature under the rug and do not believe suicide among law enforcement professionals is a nationwide problem.
What can police departments do to help prevent or reduce Officer suicides?
What can police officers do to help their co-workers with mental health issues, this perhaps reducing the number of police suicides?
