ESG249 Resource Management:
Choose a recent resource management issue which has been covered by the media sometime I the last two decades or so (no earlier than 2000). The central theme must be a facet of resource management. It can be Canadian or International case study. Regarding the application of Downs’ Issue-Attention cycle, you must use a single prominent news source (The New York Times), the frequency of articles that address your particular issue. Be sure to read these articles to understand the progression of the issue through the news source over time. A Second aspect of your analysis will involve analyzing and looking for similar cases ad research findings by using academic journal articles.

Build an in-depth analysis of your resource issue by comprehensively discussing three or four key themes or trends (For example: Conflict, Ecosystem Management, Civic Science, and Transactive Planning).Do not simply describe the case, you need to apply the theory to the case (in other words, this is not just a description of a media topic, it is YOUR analysis of it. (Approx. 2-3 pages)
