Choose 1 out of the following papers:

The essay will be a critical review of one of the above empirical papers. The review should cover the following aspects and have the following structure:
Introduction (Brief exposition of the topic under study and importance of the topic. The main research question should be clearly stated).
Summary of the empirical findings (including as necessary the most important methodological information).
Critical review
How does the study add to other (previous) literature in the field?
What are the limitations of the study? (If possible, feel free to discuss and cite other subsequent studies which have followed and attempted to improve upon the study in question).
And what are the theoretical and practical implications of these findings? And potential future directions?
Format
Length: The essay should be 1000 words (excluding the reference list but including references in the text). This is a strict limit not a guideline: any piece submitted with more words than the limit will result in the excess not being marked.
Referencing: Follow the Harvard style (see link below).
Footnotes: Preferably no footnotes (or a maximum of 2).
Formatting: The essay should be single-spaced, with 12-point font.
