This commitment furthers the educational mission to serve the increasingly diverse population and educational needs of California and the nation. Both the Vice Provost of Graduate Education/Dean of Graduate Studies and the University of California affirm that diversity is critical to promoting lively intellectual exchange and the variety of ideas and perspectives essential to advancing higher education and research. Our graduate students contribute to the global pool of future scholars and academic leaders, thus high value is placed on achieving a diverse graduate student body to support the University of California’s academic excellence. Regarding the community service:

To Whom It May Concern:

Mr. Shenouda Ibrahim has been volunteering at our church community since February 2018, during Sundays, with an average of 5 to 6 hours per week. Mr. Ibrahim has been completed more than 250 hours up to-day. These volunteering services include, but not limited to, welcoming members and visitors, handing out bulletins, assisting people with special needs like wheelchair and stroller, transporting supplies from storage area as needed, checking the restrooms in between the services to ensure that they are neat and clean, assist church’s members and visitors to find parking spots, organizing and setting-up children’s classroom, assisting with weekly children’s lessons and cleaning and sanitizing the children’s toys and equipment.

Mr. Ibrahim has good communication and coordination skills.                                                                                      I believe that Shenouda would be a great asset to any team

Regarding the underserved areas:

Back in Egypt, I worked as a medical doctor (2004-2015) in very poor villages, poor people without insurance coverage, and with low socio-economic status.
