1. We started this course looking at revolutions in the late eighteenth century. However, ‘revolution’ continued to be a motive force for our narrative throughout our study. Examine the role of revolution from the late 1700s onward and provide at least three clear examples from different periods that demonstrate the importance of that theme in modern history. Please include a primary source in your answer.

2. How important is religion and religious change in modern history? Provide solid, concrete examples that show how religious devotion has shaped the modern world.
