Objective is to write a research paper on Healthcare leadership as it pertains to one of my course which is Project/Strategic management. Strategic management is essential for improving both the the culture and the effectiveness of an organization. Since my focus is on healthcare and physiotherapy, I am really interested in doing a SWOT analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses of clinical approaches to patient education and self-care.
An important tool or mechanism for making these improvements in the healthcare field is called Situation-Background-Assessment-Recommendation (BAR), which provides a structure for members of a healthcare team to communicate more effectively.
I would like to implement an BAR framework in a physiotherapy clinic to improve the management of a program to create more autonomy and leadership among therapists that they will then be able to convey to their patients.
