Introduction
Introduction to the company, its context, and the department in which the internship takes place. Explanations of the main tasks carried out during the internship.
In parallel, presentation of the theoretical context in which the subject of the thesis will be established.
Presentation of the research question / problem to be solved in the internship
Explanation of the purpose of the internship report. What is the problem that you will help the company solve during your internship? What are you going to bring to the company that is concrete?
Should Swatch deliver to B2C e-commerce customers all around the world? If yes, how?
How should the worldwide stock be managed?
The goal is to bring and implement best practices for this topic.
For example, does it make sense that Swatch deliver to a Khazan customer? If yes, how should the deliver be made (from first mile delivery to last mile delivery? Where should the stock be located? We want to see the best practice in the industry.
Literature review
Presentation and linking of academic articles on the chosen subject. The literature review should show that the student has fully understood what already exists on this subject at the academic level.
Methodology
Detailed description of the steps that will be performed to answer the research question.
“The analyses are solely based on internal data. Most of the methodology consists of how that data has been collected, and how it has been classified.”
Performed analyzes
Presentation of the analysis steps performed in a chronological or logical order.
Results (can be mixed with Analyzes or Discussion as it is a qualitative report)
Presentation of the main results obtained in a “neutral” manner.
Discussion of the results
Interpretation of the results obtained.
Relation with what was presented in the literature review to see what is similar and / or different.
Conclusion
Description of the main conclusions that can be drawn and summary of the main results.
NB: in principle, no new element should appear in the conclusion!
Limitations of the research
Indicate which main elements limited the research (example: a single department considered, limited period of time, etc.)
Future research
Indicate how your research might be completed in the future or what else the company might do about it.
