Description
This project is a 2500 words CRITICAL SYNTHESIS of three books about Cosmopolitan Theology and Social Ethics. The books are as follows:
1. Andrew Fiala’s Secular Cosmopolitanism, Hospitality, and Religious Pluralism
2. Nimi Wariboko’s The Charismatic City and the Public Resurgence of Religion: A Pentecostal Social Ethics of Cosmopolitan Urban Life
3. Namsoon Kang’s Cosmopolitan Theology: Reconstituting Planetary Hospitality, Neighbor-Love, and Solidarity in an Uneven World
Here’s the structure of the paper:
1. Summary (about 300-350 words) – brief summary of all three books highlighting the most important themes, challenges, and topics.
2. Analysis (800-850 words) – survey and brief scrutiny of all three books.
3. Synthesis (900-950 words) – thematic or topical similarities and differences found on all three books.
4. Engagement (about 500-550 words) – personal voice (agreement/disagreement) on the issues analyzed and synthesized.
Also, if you can include other scholars’/philosophers’ views on the Cosmopolitan Theology and Social Ethics that will contribute to the Analysis of the three books, please do so.
Please do well since 50% of my grade relies on this work.
