Based on our lectures and documents for this week’s unit , please write a TWO-PAGE paper based on ONE of the following prompts – make sure you use at least four sources of information :
1) Discuss lesser known slave rebellions and different ways that enslaved workers resisted when faced with brutality and dire working conditions.
2) Discuss some of the myths of slavery. What do the sources tell us about WHY that myth was created and//or how it persists
3) How did cotton drive slavery? Discuss how cotton benefited the US, both north and south and why it made ending slavery so complicated.
