Accountability in Higher Education has become more of an issue during recent legislative sessions. While it lags behind the systems in place for secondary education, assessment of college and university courses is becoming an increasing part of the education process … even to the point of withholding funding if the college does not meet the minimum requirements set by the state.
Is this a good idea? Should colleges and universities in Texas be held to similar standards as those for K-12?
