Causes of Specific learning disabilities (SLD) discussion.
According to IDEA, a specific learning disability is a neurological condition that interferes with one’s ability to understand or use a language. This disorder affects the person’s ability to think, listen, read, write, speak, spell, compute math or reason (IDEA, 2004). Heredity, biochemical imbalance, environment, and curricular factors may contribute to neurological dysfunction.
