Topic: Human resource management challenges of international business and their possible solutions.
Research question: What are the main/most significant human resource management challenges faced by international businesses and what are the possible solutions to these challenges?
The research question seeks to answer the problem under discussion in the literature-based dissertation. It is divided into two parts for addressing the concerns of the topic. The first section of the research question is on the challenges that human resource management encounter operating in the global markets. The second section of the research question is on the potential solutions of the identified challenges.
The aim is to write a dissertation that takes a critical view of existing literature with the dual aim of (1) identifying the current thinking on the subject, and (2) synthesizing and integrating best practices into a coherent set of recommendations, based on the critical evaluation of (1).
Most of the studies in human resource management challenges of international businesses focus on either the problems or solutions that the concerned organisations can use to improve the effectiveness of their human resource management. However, this research aims to cover both aspects. The research study will attempt to determine the human resource challenges of international businesses and provide potential solutions to the identified issues.
The standard structure of the dissertation should be applied: Introduction, Literature review, Methodology, etc.
The latter part of the dissertation (after literature review) should be focused on one of the industries below:
- Gas and Oil industry
- Car & Automobile Manufacturing industry
- Retail industry
Data Collection Method.
The proposed research to be conducted will be a literature-based dissertation; therefore the preferable data collection method that will be utilized is a systematic review.
It is expected that by utilizing a wide range of different types of sources, the research will be able to gain a sufficient amount of reliable information. The proposed research hopes to use 70 to 100 references. The dissertation will aim at identifying current human resource management challenges of international businesses for it to be valid for the present and future readers.
