1. Review the table on page 112 Figure 5.2. Make sure you sequentially address all stages (except contracting). You might also use the table of contents to see if you have touched on all relevant chapters.
2. Identify the consulting model.
3. Clearly define the data collection process.
4. Clearly define the analysis process.
5. Clearly define the results of the analysis (which themes emerged from which categories, what percentage or number of responses led you to the conclusion, validated the underlying/presenting problem)
6. Recommend interventions for the specific issue (see pg 215 Tables 9.2 & 9.3 and pg 221 Table 9.4). The text offers proven interventions – don’t generically say “hold a meeting”. Instead, say what kind of meeting and why it is the right choice to address the presenting/underlying problem you identified
7. Describe the timeline.
8. Integrate change management concepts.
9. Make strong connections between data, problem, and intervention.
10. Describe the exit plan and measures.
