• Demonstrate an understanding of the roles of vitamins and minerals in the diet, outlining the optimal intakes in the maintenance of health and in the prevention or causation of disease.
• Identify the importance of a healthy diet in disease prevention/management and gain familiarity with current evidence based dietary guidelines and Dietary Reference Values.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the role of an Association for Nutrition (AfN) Registered Nutritionist and the importance of standards, ethics, conduct and performance.
