For testing battery, do it on the Candidate physical ability test (CPAT) for fire fighters. This testing battery will determine if a fire fighter is fit and healthy enough to perform his or her job duties. To do this the test will have the following: 3-minute stair climb, hose drag, equipment carry, ladder raise and extension, forcible entry, search area, rescue and ceiling breach and pull.
