-Read Chapter 1, especially pp. 7-8 on “Media Influence . . ..” (Chapter 1 will be attached in picture format)
-Watch the 7:31 minute video at The Mean World Syndrome – Media As Storytellers (relevant to cultivation theory in the textbook at p. 8).
-Watch the 7:49 minute video at The Mean World Syndrome – Desensitization & Acceleration (relevant to cultivation theory in the textbook at p. 8).

-Any relevant material you may find from other classes and/or reliable sources.
Post your comments (100-250 words) on how the media influences society’s views about crime and, more specifically, corrections? Using examples from various media sources (television, radio, movies, newspapers, magazines, social media) and incorporating as appropriate the background materials, discuss both positive and negative aspects of media influence.
