This assignment will require students to integrate course material by interviewing a real client and (1) write a Latinx Focused Mental Health/Behavioral Assessment utilizing formats reviewed and revised in class during week 3; (2) thoughtfully formulate a clinical case conceptualization integrating culturally specific explanations and (3) creating a culturally responsive treatment plan, justifying intervention strategies.
Students will turn in a paper that includes the Introduction, the Latinx Focused Mental Health/Behavioral Assessment Report (psychosocial assessment and diagnosis), Case conceptualization, the Treatment Plan (specific interventions and their justifications), and Conclusions. Students will receive a separate sheet with detailed expectations and guidance to complete this assignment.
