Think of one crime and think about why this is crime.
Look through your lecture slides and be prepared for a discussion on the following points.
– Identify and discuss the diverse aims and purposes of criminal law
– Discuss and critique the role of criminal law in society
As this is the first seminar, no further formal preparation is required. We shall instead use this session to work through some issues as a group and get to know each other.
