Assignment 2: For the specific company of your choice:
Identify and describe the company’s “environment” (e.g., their internal, external, and customer environments)
Identify and explain the company’s competitive advantage
Describe the influence of the company’s competitive advantage on the behavior of the buyers of the company’s offerings.
Advice: When selecting a specific company, think of the ways a company can be used to answer all parts of the Assignment. If you are struggling to see how a company can do this, you might want to consider using some other company. In addition, remember that almost all companies have both “business” and “consumer” buyers (e.g., Nike sells a lot to both Businesses like Dick’s Sporting Goods, as well as selling directly to customers trough Nike.com, etc.).
Good work will clearly identify a company and provide a good “description” of their environments, will clearly point out and explain the company’s competitive advantage, and will describe the relationship of the company’s competitive advantage to the behavior of their buyers of the company’s offerings.
