The unique value exhibited by the company is the focus on organic growth through nurturing and developing business relationships with consumers, bartenders, retailers and suppliers. In addition, ethics and zero-waste policies are embedded in working standards as raw materials are mostly sourced locally.

In 2016, the company moved into its own production facility, a 2500 square foot unit space comprising an office, a library, a lab and a production floor.

With this recent relocation, the House of Botanicals is emerging as a leading beverage producer within the local community and are now looking to broaden their markets.

Further Expansion

The company brand and values have attracted significant overseas interest, including in countries which do not have an alcohol culture (or where it is illegal), plus those with significant UK expatriate communities. As a result the company commissioned specialist research in two countries to determine the likely strength of its markets: France and Saudi Arabia.

The leadership team recently reviewed the results of this research and has now taken the bold decision to invest in a programme of overseas expansion.

Your Task

While this is potentially a very exciting project for Adam Elmegirab and his team, Adam is concerned that expansion could lead to new challenges. You are an organisational behaviour expert and you have been invited by Adam and his team to write a report identifying possible challenges with growth and evaluating how these challenges might be met in both countries. Your report should focus particularly on the following organisational behaviour issues:
