1. The writing assignment must contain an introduction and a conclusion. Grammar is also important! Better grades will be given to students who provide a real overview and summary rather than just following the order of the reading.
2. Be careful when citing the text. Any reproduction of the text that is not properly cited is plagiarism and it will not be tolerated.

4. Do this by addressing the following questions:
a. What was the theory of brain function prior to Broca?
b. How did Broca advance the study of the brain?
c. Discuss how Broca deduced a location for language in the brain.
d. What observations did he make?
e. What theory did he develop and what deductions could be made? How could it be tested?
f. How did Wernicke contribute to the study of language and the brain?
g. What predictions about language and speech disorders did Wernicke make?
