Use you-attitude as you write a letter to the vice-president in charge of your office. Request that the company consider allowing employees to use flex-time during the summer months of June -August.
(Note: flex-time allows employees to choose the eight hour shift that they will work during a pre-determined range of hours such as a 12-hour range. If the range is 07:00 am -07:00pm, employees can put in their eight hours as they choose as long as it is completed every day during the pre-determined range.)
Remember, you need to use reasons that will convince the VP that this will benefit the company.
