1. The module links to Plato’s “Euthyphro” where Socrates discovers that EITHER God’s will is arbitrary OR God is subject to forces beyond his own control. What do you think about this idea?
2. Ben Franklin was thought to be a great, moral, reasonable man. He also probably wasn’t very religious. Is it possible to be truly moral without a belief in a God that judges the way that the Judeo-Christian Islamic God is supposed to? Why or why not?
3. If there are multiple religious beliefs about ethics, do we assume all of them are equally valid? If so, why? If not, which do we reject and why?
