Analyze the vignettes included above and apply concepts presented in class lectures and course readings. Be sure to:
• Summarize the information presented in the vignettes using your own words
• Identify and apply at least 2 theoretical models/frameworks of sexual development to Andrea’s experience.
• Synthesize what (if any) moral, religious, cultural, gendered, and/or age-related assumptions held by the parents AND assessor may have influenced the clinical narrative.
• Explore the extent to which Andrea has agency/control over the assessor’s perception of her sexuality.
• Identify additional information that the intake assessor could have asked for or offered the client to improve the accuracy of the assessment.
Part 2 (1 page single spaced)
Engage in self-reflection by describing your personal response to the vignettes. Be sure to:
• Analyze your personal reaction to the clinical narrative
o Include any assumptions you made about Andrea after reading the clinical narrative
o Describe (if any) emotional responses occurred in response to the clinical narrative
• Interpret your personal reaction to the client narrative
o Include thoughts and any emotional responses
o Note anything that surprised you, upset you or made you uncomfortable
• Synthesize the ways and extent to which perception of Andrea’s sexuality can change depending upon which narrative is presented
References Reference at least 5 scholarly sources from the class materials or course reading list using in-text citations and a reference list in APA format. Note: “Scholarly Sources” refers to peer-review journal articles and annotated books. Non-scholarly sources can be included but will not count toward the required number of sources.
