Welcome to the Johns Hopkins Medicine Administrative Fellowship Program Application!
The Johns Hopkins Medicine Administrative Fellowship program is an integrated program that offers learning experiences in both the Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (SOM). The program is a 24 month, rotation based program that trains young professionals and helps them develop leadership skills and qualities.
Application Process
We take the application process very seriously and take all aspects of our comprehensive application into consideration. To consider any application for review, all components of the application packet must be present.
The application deadline for the 2020-2022 Administrative Fellowship is October 2, 2019. Eligible applicants are graduates of an accredited domestic MHA, MPH, MBA or equivalent master’s degree and must graduate prior to starting the program in July 2020.
We do not sponsor visas for this program.
Required Application Materials
- Official Resume (with undergraduate and graduate GPA listed)
- Personal Statement (Prepare a personal statement that addresses the following questions in 1000 words or less):
- What stimulated your interest in health care?
- Given that you have completed a master’s degree and are fully qualified for many positions in the healthcare industry, what do you hope to gain from the JHM fellowship that you could not gain from other career opportunities?
- What is something about you that makes you unique or that you would otherwise like us to know about yourself?
- Letters of Recommendation (requested in the “Supporting Information” quadrant):
- (1) ACADEMIC – Speaks to your academic presence and performance (i.e. academic program director, professor, faculty advisor, etc.)
- (1) PROFESSIONAL – Speaks to your professional presence, skills, abilities (i.e. supervisor, preceptor, direct manager, etc.)
- (1) OTHER – Academic, professional, or letter from your program director
- (1) PERSONAL* – Speaks to your character and provides insight into your personal values (i.e. colleague, family member, friend, etc.) *Please note: The Personal letter of recommendation should be uploaded under “Other” on the “Documents” page. The Personal letter of recommendation is in addition to the three letters of recommendation requested in the “Supporting Information” quadrant.
