Now that you have reviewed each aspect of PMI’s Talent Triangle (leadership, technical project management, and strategic and business management), you will consider your own strengths in each of these three areas. You will reflect upon how these competencies have contributed to your successful management of projects. Additionally, you will create a plan for improving your expertise in any of the areas where you think you may lack proficiency. Even if you believe you are proficient in all three aspects, discussing your continuing efforts for improvement as PMI credential holders is important.
- Upon reviewing the PMI’s Talent Triangle, reflect upon the key skills and competencies you possess pertaining to each side of the triangle:
- Leadership
- Technical Project Management
- Strategic and Business Management
- Provide examples of your expertise in each of the three areas and describe which skills you have personally found most valuable for your success as a project manager. Draw upon your experience to explain why these competencies were, and are, so valuable.
- If you believe you lack proficiency in one of these three areas of expertise, share your specific plans for increasing your knowledge and skills in the future.
